[Yoshi's easy to find, at least! As a former shut-in, 9/10 times he's in his room. That continues to be the case even after the trial, should Rean wish to locate him...]

[The first thing you should always do when trying to find people is check their rooms, apparently?! Not that it's surprising considering the atmosphere, but it's something to note... maybe. Either way, he knocks lightly on the door.]

Hey, it's Rean. Do you have a minute?

[He opens the door and-]

Oh- hey, Rean!

[He's smiling awfully easily after all that.]

What's up?

[Huh. Most people probably wouldn't be able to keep smiling like that, and he gets the feeling it isn't really an act.]

Nothing much. I just wanted to check up on you, that's all. Mind if I come in for a bit?

[And just like that, he backs away so Rean can come in. Enjoy the Cozy Room, there's even plushies to be hugged and a kotatsu to enjoy!]

Feels like a lot of people have been checking in with me lately...

[He sounds kind of confused about it, really.]

[Huh. What a comfortable-looking room... not that he's going to start grabbing one of those plushies anytime soon, but he can still acknowledge how warm the place feels. But anyways, staring at someone's room isn't really what he's here for, so he turns to Yoshi with a sigh.]

I think it kinda comes with the territory when you say some pretty alarming things sometimes. I mean, most people generally wouldn't call themselves garbage.

Can't say I disagree with him. I get feeling down on yourself sometimes and not thinking that you're worth other people's time, but...

[He trails off and closes his eyes, pausing like he's not sure how to word this. When he seems to settle on something, he speaks up.]

...What I don't get is how you can be so nonchalant. Like there's nothing sad about it at all.

Pretty much! I can't remember ever being sad about anything.

Basically, it seems I don't feel pain! Or something like that.

Sorry, it's pretty hard to wrap my head around this. I guess I should be glad you aren't hurt by it, but... maybe I'll put this another way.

Do you get why people don't like to hear you put yourself down?

Not really? I mean, I might be able to tell if I just read their minds, but...

It's... honestly better that you don't. Most people don't really like to have their privacy invaded like that. Besides, I think that learning how to figure these things out is part of growing up.

[But ahem, back to the point.]

Anyways. I can't speak for everyone, but it's probably because it makes them feel sad that you don't value yourself the same way they do.

Well, I can see everything all the time anyway. I can't see my own data, but I guess I wouldn't mind if others could too.
