Aren't they usually? Because then you get way more reach, right?

That's true, but I think there's also a difference between a spear made to be thrown and one for close quarters combat.

Mostly not, but I saw a glimpse of some kind of...boomerang move with jumping up high and bouncing the spear off the enemy? It seemed quite difficult to replicate.

I don't have a preference, though the superhero outfits look a little uncomfortable.

I don't necessarily mind the revealing, though sometimes it's pretty ridiculous.

There's whole accounts dedicated to pointing out how bad some character's outfits get, especially for girls.
